$2 Cancer Drive

This is my husband, James Suain.  My husband is a great man.  He is an Army Veteran. He is currently employed for our local Sheriffs Office as a corrections officer.  On September 14th, 2011, two weeks after the first photo was taken, he was hospitalized for a severe pain in his abdomen. After a CT Scan and biopsy, he was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor, a very rare form of cancer.
My husband and I were trying to conceive, to no avail.  I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery to remove it in May 2010.  One year later, we conceived.  We were 5 months pregnant when he was diagnosed with this aggressive form of cancer.  He started to gain weight and we didn’t know why. (I thought he was getting bigger because I was getting bigger!)  We soon realized that the cancer was throughout his abdominal cavity mimicking weight gain.
Due to my husband’s rigorous chemotherapy schedule and our newborn, Justin, working is not a possibility at this time.  We have exhausted all of his short-term disability benefits and this is where we need your help. A foundation was set up for him.  We are asking for $2.  That’s it.
Teamsuaincancerfoundation.blogspot.com is where you can donate. You can donate more but we are just asking for $2. You will receive a receipt for your donation.  Please:
·      Tell your friends/family/co-workers
·      Repost this in your facebook status
·      Tweet this
·      Repin this.

They told me that my husband was not going to make it.  We have faith and are praying. He is winning this fight.  He is fighting this battle for our son and for me.  Please help.  So many things go viral and we pray this does as well.  We thank you for everything you can do to help.  God Bless.

What Does Service Means to You?

Dear James,

Today I devote all my time to servicing you. This means giving back my time, love, and support as you have done for me.  You are the cement that holds my life together; you are the sun that brightens everyone day.  Though your humor sometimes most often catches me off guard, I would not change it for the world because your laughing heart has always kept me grounded.
Today, I stop to realize that out of all the men in our family you are the only guy that I could ever call a real man.  You have serviced our country with your soul at stake, but never once have I ever heard you complained.  For this my tears roll down my cheek because I am happy to serve you as you have served me.
Yesterday I realized what I have known for years that you are a man of loyalty, integrity, and a man devoted to servicing God.  You have accomplished what many folks stigmatize as impossible, while others made excuses.  You do this, what we call service with so much grace that I am certain that you are an angel sent here from God's place.
I have learned though my studies that there are four types of people in this world:
1.   the talkers, those who talks about doing something but, never does,
2.    the watchers, those who sit around an observes things but, never put that observation to use,
3.   the thinker,
4.   and then there was you, the actionist.  A person who is an advocate of direct action that who makes 1 -3 a simple reality.

Now it is your time to receive and accept what we have in store for you.  It is our time to devote what you have always devoted to us your service.

October 11, 2011

Dear Family and Friends,
I am writing on behalf of Mr. James Leon Suain, a veteran of the armed forces of United States of America, and a resident in our community.  On September 21, 2011, Mr. Suain was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called sarcoma.  Mr. Suain has devoted his life to our country and our community.  As such, it is only natural for our community to join forces to preserve his footsteps.  Our mission is to provide Mr. Suain and his expecting wife, Melody Suain, with funding for their basic essentials until Mr. Suain is able to resume employment.  Additionally, we strive to introduce residents of our community to the importance and awareness of this deadly disease.
Will you join forces with us in supporting our veteran fight against this disease?

The family of Mr. Suain will be hosting our first carwash/bake sale fundraiser event on Saturday October 15, 2011, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on 306 S.1st Street in Immokalee Florida.

The family of Mr. Suain is asking you to help us help him by giving donations for car washes and baked goods.  We know that we can count on you for a generous donation of $5 or more for the carwash, and/or a minimum of $1 for the bake goods. However, please note that any donation amount is always welcomed. We thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to whatever support you can provide our family.
If you require additional information about Mr. Suain please contact the Team Suain Cancer Foundation at the information listed below and our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration.  The family of Mr. Suain could not do this without the generosity of donors like your-self.
Respectfully,
